1. When did you place your order? December as soon as they started accepting orders
2. Did the dealer ask for a deposit? No. Discussed but never ran the card
3. When did you get an order number? A few weeks after, but it took a long time to be picked up by GM.
4. How long from receipt of TPW until delivery - Got 3/27 TPW. Then lost TPW for a few weeks. Jumped the line, abandoned my order and found a ZL1 that someone had backed out of sitting on the lot and bought that same day.

How did you lose your TPW? And what do you mean by jumped the line?

A bunch of us had TPW at 3/27 and then we were all bumped without explanation to status 3000. There is a dedicated thread on it.

I jumped the line by reading this forum for available and already shipped ZL1 A10 cars and by searching cars.com for cars in inventory. I made a ton of calls, but found one with just the right color and options on this forum. Read about it in the evening. Called the next morning at 8:30AM and bought on the spot.

Added a follow-on question with regards to which trans type, M6 or A10. For those with builds/delivery prior to February I assumed M6.

Yup! Most dealers wouldn't even accept an order for an A10 until December 2016. Earlier orders and deliveries would be M6's.

1. order was placed in november
2. yes 1000 deposit when i originally inquired in march last year
3. order number obtained when order was put into system
4. got tpw in march, produced 2nd day of tpw week, estimated delivery from dealer is 4/24

Again thanks to everyone for getting back to me, while I was hoping to get a little more feedback I will divulge the purpose of this survey.

I placed an order, with $1K deposit, for an A10 on 9 December with a "volume" dealer in Dallas. As I live in Huntsville, AL, I didn't think the local dealer here would get allocations to cover the orders they had plus they wouldn't honor the GM Military Discount (Dallas dealer would).

Long story short, the Dallas dealership didn't get enough allocations (I was last guy standing for an A10) so after waiting six months I got nothing. To add insult to injury the dealer here did get enough allocations but I was late to the party.

What really pissed me off is that I got NO information from the dealer in big D on where I was on the order list as it progressed and I had to bring it to their attention that the final '17 allocation was on 6 April (Thanks Becky!). Had I known I would have hedged my bets with dealer here and paid MSRP- car meant that much.

OK, winefest over. boohoo.

Anywho, now in waiting on the '18s, not using the dealer in Dallas, and looking for a dealer in Hershey, PA area that'll accept a Military Discount.
