Thanks for all the replies. I think I'm going to remove the plate and see how (if at all) in impacts my IATs. Since I don't currently have a CAI I'm not really concerned about increasing the SC whine.

When I removed my plate, I couldn't tell any change. But, when I installed my DSX lid, it sounded like a different blower !!! In a GREAT WAY !
