How do you take out the PCV valve

My dad was putting on a catch oil can and broke the PCV valve. He’s not sure how to get it out of there to replace it. Do any of you have any tips?

You can't replace it it's literally part of the manifold. You're going to have to replace the manifold or drill out the valve and put your own fitting in there.

Oh really? Why does Napa sells the exact part for it? It’s my first time ever dealing with all of this

I’ve often wondered whether that was molded into the manifold. I believe that is called a bundy fitting. 10mm?

Any idea if this is a replacement for that particular fitting?

I should see if I can get mine out of my old LT1 manifold.

Because that's for the bottom that connects to the motor. That one you can undo but the one on the manifold you can't. It's the same way on the MSD manifold except with that one you either put your own fitting in or spend another 1200 bucks.

The link you posted is for the one attached to the engine block which can be removed but the one on the manifold cant.

Thank for the clarification.

Wonder if there’s enough material in the manifold to drill and tap it for that part?

OP, GL!

There was for my MSD but I'm not sure on the stock manifold.

That makes sense. Now I don’t know whether to upgrade or just take it back to the dealership

Don't know if you have any other mods but if you upgrade to say a LT2 or MSD toss your power train warranty goodbye. If your warranty is still intact I'd just take it to the dealership and see what they say but do not tell them that you were trying to install a catch can because you'll probably end up eating that bill at that point.

Just a heads up OP there is a guy selling his manifold on here because he switched to an LT2 so you might be able to get it cheaper if you're wanting to avoid the dealership.
