Cold air intake...

Hello camaro fam.

Quick question. Going to purchase a CAI for my 2017. Should I get a closed or open CAI?

Best...

If you're looking for power gains from just a CAI, don't get your hopes up. It's very minimal IF any. However, if you have a bunch of mods to your engine it may help you out. If your looking to "dress up" your engine bay or hear the intake a bit more, then it'll work for you. In past posts the majority have said Roto-Fab, Corsa, or AWE. (I'm also sure I'm missing some). I personally went with the K&N. I like the look of the carbon fiber tube and mainly bought it to hear the supercharger whine a little more. I've used many of their products in the past and have had NO issues. I use an "open" CAI on my ZL1. Good luck in your search. It's mainly personal preference as one doesn't have a "significant" advantage over another. (SORRY for the sideways pic).

I prefer K&N. Not a fan of carbon fiber myself.

I'd say he has just enough and he decided to support an American company, so more power to him

Very true, I am willing to save and pay double to support the North American economy, rather than give it to the far and away lands. Plus, a spade is a spade. You can’t beat quality.
