ZL1 1LE Track Day Prep Camber Problem
Went to our first track day today with the the zl1 1le and tried to set the camber per owners manual instructions. Lifted the front wheels off the ground and in no way could we get to the hex bolt that holds the gold alignment pin in. Then we tried with the wheels off but could not get the hex bolt off with the Allen key it would not budge.
Am I doing something wrong or does anyone know if there is an easier way to adjust it or get the bolt out. ? Also if we get the hex bolt out and the alignment pin do we have to put the alignment pin back in or can we leave it out? |

Hex bolt must come out, alignment pin never needs to go back in.

I could not get mine out with an allen wrench, I used an impact driver with an allen wrench fitting and the can out easy then.

Yup, for some reason that guide-pin is a queen biotch to get out. Once removed and 'Track' setting in place, I just left it that way. I thought I had 1/4" toe out (wood and tape measure) but when I took it to an alignment rack found out it was 1/2" toe out. So if you're going to leave in 'Track' setting, fix the toe.
And NO, you don't have to replace when/if you put it back to 'Street' setting. |
