Blade Spoiler Options. Best one? Matte Black vs Gloss Glack?
Shopping for a blade style spoiler and wondering what are the go-to options out there; what are your favorites?
Also, I'm planning to go with a black spoiler; what's your take on matte vs glossy? I have a 2SS with npp, so I have the black glossy lower rear valance that seems to me would go better with a glossy blade spoiler...thoughts? Thanks! |

I'll list a few:
OEM (Will require either swapping an LT trunk or having the bolt holds filled & trunk repainted) C7 Carbon: https://www.c7carbon.com/gen-6-camar...ss-black-p-694 IKON Motorsports (Attached with tape, 'may' cover bolt holes, would suggest using fasteners somehow) https://www.ikonmotorsports.com/16-1...k-spoiler.html Stillen https://www.stillen.com/catalog/prod...SABEgIQ2vD_BwE RPI Designs https://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item...-rear-spoiler/ American Authority https://www.americanauthority.com/co...ican-authority ACS Composite (not really what I'd consider blade but...) https://acscomposite.com/collections...r-deck-spoiler As an aside, disregard anything that says "Duraflex"

Thanks! I think I like the Street Scene one the best of those, followed by RPI 2nd. I can't decide if the RPI one is too tall... |

I have the RPI and at 1st I thought it was too tall, but it has grown on me. Plus I like the 1 piece design over the 3 piece.
Go gloss black to match the gloss black on the car, unless you plan to go matte on all the black of the car. |

With a 3 piece spoiler, how do the two end pieces attach anyway? Tape? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

I had the RPI 1-piece spoiler and even though I like the way it looked, I didn't like the way it fit. I eventually removed it and went with the Ikon Motorsports 3-piece spoiler and I really couldn't be happier. I went with an all gloss black scheme on my Camaro since all the accent pieces are gloss black anyway.
And just an FYI, the Ikon spoiler does cover the stock spoiler holes.

Yes, the ends are held on with tape, but the factory 1LE blade spoiler ends are too.

Nope, I just used lots of 3M double sided emblem tape. It seems secure and I seriously doubt it'll ever come off since it doesn't weigh that much. I paid $169 shipped off Ebay and it was pre-painted gloss black. The paint wasn't perfect, probably bulk painted by someone in taiwan, but it's good enough that you don't see the very small spots unless you look for them. If that's an issue with you, you can spend $109 shipped and get the primer black version and paint it yourself.

If it's good enough for OEM, it's good enough for me. Just make sure you buy the 3M Emblem heavy duty double sided tape.
