Looking for guidance on Supercharger/Turbo kits for 2019 V6
Hi all. I'm hoping you guys can give me the information I need on weather to supercharge or turbo my car and what "all the bits" kit is the best to buy?
I have a 2019 RS V6 auto/paddle change with 10,500 miles from new and the engine totally standard. I think the only part that's modified is the rear pipes as it's pretty loud. I'm in the UK (Northern Ireland) and information here is pretty thin on the ground. I don't know which is the better choice or where to get it. What I'm looking for is a complete bolt on package kit. So as said I'm hoping you guys can give me the advice I need to do things right. Thanks in advance, Stu

Forced induction is rare with the V6, the only off-the-shelf kit I know of is the one from Edelbrock: https://www.edelbrock.com/edelbrock-...-v6-15995.html
Just curious, since you did a full exterior revamp (love the dual front grille, by the way, something like this is what the 2019 GM refresh should've been), is this level of modding, including the addition of a supercharger legal in Northern Ireland? Will you have any trouble registering the car, or at least will the CARB certification of the Edelbrock kit help, theoretically speaking?

Thank you for coming back to me I'll look into that. I bought the car as you see it. The only thing I added was the carbon diffuser. As long as the mods are declared on the insurance no issues passing an mot here.

He's the LGX Guru. He's done some amazing things for people, mild to wild. I once seen a post by him saying he could get up to 35rwp just by a simple tune to the LGX. A lot of people stand by his work. He's done a lot with Superchargers from stage 1 on up. |

You may get more feedback in the 'V6 LGX Engine, Exhaust, and Bolt-Ons' section of the forum.

Also I contacted Edelbrock, they won't ship to the UK which is a shame so have to look elsewhere if I'm going down the Supercharging route.

I don't know enough about the V6 to know how much abuse it can take. But any overhead style blower is going to put a pounding on the internals.
IMO I'd do a Procharger. I am very bias about Prochargers. A centri is going to hit your internals a little softer and deliver power where you need it. Overhead blown cars tend to be tire fryers. Procharger also tends to be 100% emissions legit and completely reversable should you decide to sell the car without the modification. Not sure about the V6, but the install should be relatively the same as the V8 in terms of time and complexity. I'd say on average most people should be able to get one on in about 6-8 hours.

Thank you guys for all the input, a lot to process. Incidentally Edelbrock won't supply the UK so that's out.
