How many senior citizen drivers 50+
I’m turning 50 this month and been told by several family members that it’s probably time to sell my Camaro cause it’s a young man’s car and I look like I’m trying to be young!😏
I don’t think so at all but just curious to see how many agree or how many old guys DGAF! |

Don't much care. Older than that now. I see many old guys now drive C8s in my area. Drive whatever you enjoy.
Any age can buy a car to try to impress others either by it's expense and brand or sports car image or bro-dozer truck. If a person gets old enough safety features such as driver aids does play into decisions. Nice to have adaptive cruise and lane keeping and beep when approaching slow or stopped cars for example. Even my young adult child took advantage of emergency braking when the cars on the highway stopped more suddenly than anticipated. You do You as they used to say. |

Personally, I don't think it's good to have other people make decisions for you (or me).
I will be 78 pretty soon, and plan on keeping my Camaro for the foreseeable future. I didn't buy it to impress anybody. I wanted a car that looked good, sounded good, and ran good. I enjoy driving it and don't give a hoot what anybody else thinks! Do what you think is best for you!

Both me and my wife are senior citizens much older than you, I have a built ZL1 and a Corvette, my wife has a couple of Mustang GT's. The Corvette and the Camaro are a little bit hard to get out of, the Mustangs not so much-neither my wife or me are ready to give it up. Please don't judge me for a mixed marriage she love fords but I love her.

58 1/2. That 1/2 is important. Been driving/owning Camaros for over 40 years. No plan on stopping anytime soon.

I agree its time to sell your car
I will buy it for 10 cents on the $ BTW I am 66 and retired and just having fun with you. Hell No 50 is not old George Forman had his last Heavy Weight fight at 48 years young. He won the title at 45 knocking out a 25 year old I was out cruising with the GF yesterday and I said I think I am keeping the Camaro she laughed and said I thought you wanted a Vette. I said have you seen any other Camaros today...nope but Vettes were everywhere. Keep the car...I feel younger every time I drive it

I was 20 when I bought my first Camaro, a used 1978 Rally Sport. I was 21 when I ordered my first new Camaro, a 1982 Z28. I just turned 49 when I picked up the phone and ordered our 2010. I was 53 when I bought the ZL1. Age is just a number. Buy and drive what you love. There will NEVER be a time like this again. Never. We used to think that the smog era killed all the fun in cars, but when the 4th gen arrived (which was brewing in the late 3rd gens), power and handling options returned and kept geting better until the very end. I feel fortunate to be able to ride the Camaro train while it lasted.
