Garage/Mechanic in the greater montreal area
Hi,
I'm on the hunt for a trustworthy garage to work on my Camaro (SS 1LE) around Montreal (northern end all the way up to the Laurentians would be preferable, but can go west/south if needed). I brought it for its first track day, and the garage I brought it to had really good reviews and seems to have done good work. But, $410 for an oil and filter change, and $390 for Castrol SRF seemed a bit steep. I also looked at potentially doing the oil changes myself, but Mobil 1 Supercar 0w-40 (the only dexosR oil from what I can tell) doesn't look to be available to retail customers in Canada (I've even found Corvette forum threads of people hunting for it). I've seen some on Amazon but I'm concerned about getting fake/mislabeled oil from Amazon. My dealer seems ok but not sure of the prices. I've been considering just showing up with a checklist of work and specific oils/fluids to use and see if they can do it. Any suggestions? |

The price are right.
But for track you can use Mobil 1 15-W-50. Available at Canadian Tire. Around 16$ each and you need 10. Do it your self will cost you 170$. Buy your filter here: https://www.tubmangmpartsdepot.ca/ Find online the chevrolet-camaro-track-preparation-guide |
