I replaced both bowties with custom color ones. I just stuck a thin plastic trim removal tool under the edge on the right side of the front bowtie and worked it until I could get a larger tool wedged in. Pried the old bowtie off. Broke a couple of the clips - oh well, don't plan on putting the gold ones back on. Rear can be removed by working fishing line between the car and the bowtie. Heat first with hairdryer. There are a lot of threads about this subject. The search tool is your friend.
