Swap mylink 16-18 to Infortainment 3 19-20

Hi, guys!
Swap done successfully, now my RS 2017 has the latest infortainment 3 system from 2019 model year.
Process in not very easy and cheap, but it worth it.
Hd resolution is awesome.

Nice job, Personally i liked my 2016 mylink screen more than the new one in my 2019. I miss the album art for my music and the layout in general was just more appealing. I do like the cluster more in the 2019. seems clearer and has more info in places. but that is probably just software changes. Not sure if they upgraded that screen as well.

Yeah, it's 1080p vs 720p in the 2016-18 cars.

OP, congratulations, this must have been a lot of work. Did you have to reverse engineer and reprogram the HMI? How about the gauge cluster, was it a plug and play change? I assume simply swapping in 2019 modules wouldn't suffice...

To do this, you need gauge cluster and a lot of reprogramming for each module.
Also you will need parts:
84514223 - Amplifier
84642950 - voice module
New cable for rear camera
New dash from 2019 model year (don't know part number)
One more speaker (don't know part number)
Slot for SD NAV card (don't know part number)
84486168 - LCD display
84511981 - HMI 3.0 unit
A lot of these you can find on a scrap yards for a cheap

Hi, you can do it anywhere who use original GM software. In Russia we have Madcat Customs service.
