LTH on Corsa Extreme+

I currently have the Corsa Extreme+ non NPP on my 2019 ZLE and looking to go into building it now, 2650, Big Gulp, 103mm TB, Headers, Cam etc. I'm just nervous about how it'll sound with the LTH Catless or Catted if it'll be "too loud" and ruin it. I love how it sounds now i just don't want to make it sound like crap since i don't have the option of valves currently and would rather not get rid of the exhaust.

Anyone have LTH catted or catless with the Extreme+ ? What is your thought or experience with the setup

Thanks

You can find clips of it on Youtube, but your cam is going to make a huge difference too. Personally, catless headers on ANY exhaust don't sound good to me. They are good for people who like loud screaming exhaust and thats it, theres not a good tone to it. Catted helps a lot and makes it less harsh for sure.

Its really going to be up to you on if you like the sound with the Corsa Extreme+ or not, but its going to be harsh, even with cats. It might not be horrible though, and its a personal taste anyway. Your build sounds awesome though and its going to be killer.

Im about to throw catted headers on but I am going to have a resonated X pipe and AWE Touring, so it shouldnt be too insane until im really on the throttle. You can aways switch to a similar setup if yours ends up being too loud or raspy.

That combo will be over the moon loud.

2650 probably not necessary either unless you want to build it massively into the 1xxx whp club, and at that point your first problem (noise) wont be an issue any longer

I have ZLE with kooks 2" with no cats and corsa xtreme no npp. Sounds really good it's a great combo . Obviously it's loud but it's not obnoxious

I have Kooks 2inch LTH with high flow cats and the Flowmaster American Thunders. It sounds great and I get compliments all the time. Super mean idle and Super Loud when you get on the gas but with NPP it sounds almost silent with the valves closed.

Also Headers by far add the most noise.

I have catless ARH + Corsa NPP (and H/C, FBO). If I could do it again, I'd get high flow cats to keep some of the more growly sound. I did add resonators (Vibrant Performance) to help tame it down, because with valves open it was essentially straight-through and leaned on the obnoxious side. It's one of those things where it sounded awesome and cool at first (because loud! yeehaww!), but it got a little old after a while. Not just the volume, but there's a shrillness to it that echoes off all the pavement and buildings which made regular driving and medium throttle feel like I'm racing.

Just my experience.

Im looking to go this route eventually too, currently I just have the Corsa Extreme Catback with the stock manifolds, and it sounds really good so far.

This is just for my FBO SS, it might not be a perfect sound clip for u but I feel the car is way too loud lol When speeding at 140 MPH on the highway, the exhaust is like a horn and even hurting people's ears lol
