has anyone had paint chipping yet

Yes, I was told it was due to shipping and I should have noticed when I took delivery.

Could they be rushing the drying time , because I think that would cause some of this.
There have been concerns from other owners on their paint.

I have a chip on the front fascia. Stone strike probably. And I curbed the fascia on one of those parking lot concrete bars...rrrrrr. Friend of mine works in a paint shop and said he'd repaint the whole fascia, color & clear coat, for $100. Dealership gave conservative estimate at $800.

I got caught behind a dump truck dropping stones, chipped my paint very badly, my car is still getting repainted.

I did hear that the reason the paint chips so easily is due to the new usage of water based paints, which has been mandated by the EPA. The Dealership body shop told me that the water based paints and clear coats just aren't as durable as what they were using a few years ago.

My very first mod was Venture Shield clear bra to protect the paint....I read horror stories from other Camaro5 members and decided an ounce of prevention was worth a pound of cure!
