Rumor is there are two hi po Camaros being developed right now. One for 2017 and one for 2018. Hopefully this is the Lt4 ZL1 loaded with options and the other is an N/A Z/28. The extra year could be for finalizing a new engine.
Sure there is... if they have a specific hp target and room to add another engine to the line up i.e. the ls9 and the lsa.

Just saying... I was speculating assuming that the PWR is infact "power to weight ratio"

Either its a lt4 with 640hp - 650hp then the weight of the car is way over 4000lbs. or the Hp is mid 500hp's and its under 4000lbs. ... again that is all speculation.

Is it possible they're running multiple power levels to determine the best possible balance and this was simply one level they're testing?

IE.."We tested it at 585, 600, 625, and 650 and found that the optimum was at..."

Im glad im not the only one thinking that. since when are all of these things written on the sides of mules? seems kinda odd and we're probably looking way too far into them.

sure, but why would they need to plaster it on the side of the vehicle? im pretty sure they can put something like that on a post-it note in someone office, away from the cameras.

The ls9 was too expensive. That's why they built the LSA.

It also says less than 6.46. It says less than 4.0 to 60 but the SS already does it in 4.0. The ZL1 better be way under 4.0.

looks like a roll cage is installed!? Might be a requirement for the track after reaching 600HP? I don't know......

Why would the "test" it with a roll cage if it is in final design? (not saying it is, just my thoughts)

Unless the seat belt retracts out of the roof like the 3rd gen. But it looks like a bar to me....

Are we sure that this is the same car from these spy shots? http://www.leftlanenews.com/photos/c...icture-13.html Could they be working on 2 at one time?

anyway, if it is real... I'm hoping its a 580 HP, 3,750 lb NA Z/28. A 640 HP LT4 at 4,134 lbs wouldn't be consistent with what they've shown in the SS

IMO this is the next Supercharged Camaro don't know what they are going to call it, maybe a ZL1 or not, but it will be the successor to the gen5 ZL1, for power i say look for a LT4 coming in at 640 HP, and will come in at under 3900LB you do the math but if you can afford it buy one........

Grate time to be a car guy, this will slap the the $HIT out of anything ford..

This, the one car from those shots has a massive front splitter and different style wing, not to mention the obvious heat extractor on the hood. These new shots are of on of those cars, if I had to guess lt4 powered ZL1. The one with the heat extractor I think is a z28 or 1le.

Ok, so you're half right. Under the supercharger lid, between the blower rotors and the intake runners is a water filled intercooler - it absorbs heat from the compressed air from the blower.

However, you still need to take that heated water and release it's heat somewhere - like a front mounted water-to-air heat exchanger. Water from the supercharger is pumped to this exchanger to release the heat absorbed from the intake air.
