They look like square 295 or 305's

Square setup is for track cars. This hints of Z/28.

The current ZL1 comes with 305's on the rear and they are already at the limit with just 580 crank hp from this generation so I don't think a narrower tire will suffice with 650 plus from the next LT4 or whatever FI setup we get. See Hellcat for reference. GM doesn't make mistakes of not installing enough rubber on their performance cars like some.

I don't think GM will make the Z/28 again.with the sales of this gen I don't see a reason for making another one unless they will price it for 10k less.i agree with someone who just said their testing the stick and the auto.i dont see any different aero parts on any of them.both have the same design, same wheels, same aeros

GM didn't make the Z/28 to a volume car....they made it to be a track animal...and more would have been sold earlier if some dealers weren't trying to rape the enthusiast's over the coal with mark ups. GM planned to build as many as the market called for. No more, no less.

Perhaps Chevy can make a less expensive Z/28 by ditching the carbon ceramic brakes. And the fancy dampers. GM owns the rights to MRC and it is very effective on the track. Look at how the ATS-V handles with MRC.

Perhaps Chevy didn't throw out the N/A motor that was being worked on for the Z06. Perhaps Chevy couldn't make 650HP and meet the regulations in a N/A motor, but COULD make a 550HP one meet the regs (427 with VVT and DI?). Might be nice in an alpha based Z/28. Might be a great GT350 competitor.

Of course I have no proof of this, but it's a nice dream....

GM certainly didn't make the Z/28 so it could sit on dealer lots either. That's bad public relations, which is the opposite of what you want from a halo car. If there is another Z/28, it will be more competitively priced. GM has been learning their lessons quickly these days. Hopefully, the dealers will as well.

They don't look narrow to me, look pretty fat at least 295 or more

This is evident in how many guys with 1LE cars installed badges reflecting what they had and not just a regular SS. Plus if you go back and look in the past which car is everyone putting hash marks on including GM with its cryptic hash marks on this prototype.

2013 1LE Pre-Production Prototype and 2017 test mule. I think what we have here is a 1LE test mule.

MRC was developed by the Delphi Automotive corporation and now owned by Beijing West Industries .
