In the AMG video they mentioned that it had a very stiff suspension and limited travel in the rear. Very similar to the ZL1 1LE as a track focused car, and why it placed 5th. The ZL1 is probably 4th.

Not to be a cynic, though that's the beauty of using arbitrary units of measure to base your results. You can move them around as you feel on a whim. Like the FT350 winning over the ZL1 because of exhaust loudness.

I'm hoping someone in the approval chain finally got involved and the conversation went something like:

"Are you telling me the ZL1 with the fastest lap time of the group (probably) is being listed in 5th place because the bumps on the road in the suede lined recaro seats hurt your ******s too much?! I don't think so. Fix it now". - MT Exec (probably)

on a previous MT review video it already ran laguna with randy driving @ 1:34.30. Would be surprised with a vastly different time.

The 718 is going to win. I have not read one single bad thing about that car anywhere... just glowing praise. Huge upset if it doesn't come out on top.

The Z06 didn't win the 2015 BDC because (like a lot of early Z06's) it overheated and couldn't complete a lap under full power.

About a year later it eventually did (once GM fixed the front end)and reset the production car record at LS...until the ACR crushed it.

No way. The engine will keep it from the top spot. That is part of the driving experience. I think it will be 488.
