GM doesn't develop dozens of engines. The Camaro gets what they have available.

The GT3 and the Nismo GTR come to mind. Both those cars will out hustle the Z/28 in the 1/4 mile or on a roll.. but on a track the Z/28 now is king and a bargain compared to those cars. Now, hopefully the Gt350R brings it and gives a little bit of competition; it's lonely at the top.

I'll sum up my hopes and conclusions based on what we know so far:
1. There is an FI motor in that car = the LT4 2. As long as the car has the LT4 and MRC + interior creature comfort options as found in 2SS and it comes in around $60,000, I don't care if it is a Z/28 or ZL1, it will be mine. Hey, maybe it's a ZL1 and has a track pack called Z/28

Let me simplify my statement. GM has two LTx engines, the LT1 and LT4. Which one makes 600 hp? They aren't going to build on to make 600 when they already have one making 650.

When has the General limited themselves to only two v8 options at one given point. In 2011 you had the l99, ls3, lsa, ls9, ls7 and all of the vortec derivatives. All engines that fit their target hp for a specific vehicle goals/performance category. Let's not forget that the LTx's are fairly new so the fact that we may have more engines in development unknown to us (454ci LT8/L88 ??) is very real.

That's why it's in quotations, be they claim their time beat the z28, but... By the books, it's not official... But that's what they're using

Couldn't tell if the brakes were carbon ceramics or not. If it's not, it's gotta most likely be the ZL1.
