I must have an odd driving position then, because I can't even see the hood in my '14.

That is the most logical theory. I don't think they would have a special engine for the Camaro that the Corvette wouldn't get. Even if they hopped up the LT1 I would think it would be in a C7 "Grandsport" first.

This car looks to have a square tire setup which IMHO leads me to believe its a track rat Z/28 and not a hi po ZL1.

It has a tow hook; looks like a roll cage inside; VERY wide low-profile Goodyear tires all the way around; the Z/28 flow tie; there's no mistaking that front is intended to let this car breathe. I'm guessing this is the Z/28 development car.

I'll guess that:

VID = Vehicle I.D.

PWR<6.46 = Power to Weight Ratio. Which, if this is a Z/28 they've probably taken 100 lbs out of it compared to the SS which is 3,685 lbs so figure 3,585 lbs. Divide 3,585 by 6.46 you get 555 hp.

0/100<4.0 = 0-100kph in less than 4 seconds?

LG>1.0X = Lateral Grip greater than 1.0

#HPSIX = High Performance Sixth Gen.

So guess what boys and girls...they don't consider the SS you're buying to be high performance!! ROFL This bodes very well for the Z/28 and should cause much heartburn at other companies and forums.

That's what I was getting at in my first post. The dish in the front and back wheels looks different (probably to accommodate those huge front brakes), but the tire size looks almost square (it not square). Too bad the scraped the info off the tires...then we would know.

It looks like a heat exchanger is sitting in front of the radiator. Look where I've circled.

That all sounds great...but what Gen V engine makes 555 HP? Curious minds want to know

They're Goodyears; you can just make out the GOOD (logo) YEAR on the top of this tire.

They might even be a new tire just for this car for all we know.

Possibly. But it reminds me a lot of the OEM heat exchanger that was on my ZL1.

I really wish that they would have some sort of vents in the back similar to the C7 for the tranny and diff cooler. Leave a lot more room up front for the engine / heat exchanger.
