Another Stolen ZL1 :(
I had to go to Denver for the week. Flew out on Monday and left my baby in the Atlanta airport daily parking. BIG MISTAKE!!! I returned on Friday to see another car parked in my spot.
 So apparently someone else wanted my 23' Convertible ZL1 in vivid orange more than I did and took it on Tuesday.  The police told me I will probably never see it again and OnStar said they can't locate it.  WTF .. People suck!! So now I have to wait a few more days while the insurance company figures out a way to screw me too. I fully expect some lowball figure on a car I ordered from the factory and can't just go get another. They didn't make many of those in the first place. Damn!

Yup! for $175 you can avoid all that bullshit, I don’t understand why people don’t get it after they spend $70,000. We live in a new world or should I say a ****ed up world? And the great news is you can never buy a new one again.

I have a proximity key fob that I either choose to put in a faraday case or choose to take with me. Either way the car will not start without sensing it. Extremely small inconvenience either way.

I’m sorry this happened. Did you pull the starter fuse, mentioned in a previous post regarding stolen ZL1? I wonder if an Apple tag with 3m Auto tape under the headliner is a good locator?

Any tips on handling the insurance claim in case of lowball settlement offer? I still have 9 days before USAA moves to the next step.

It is depressing how easy they are to steal. Atlanta has been a shit hole for years, but all major cities are getting this way sadly. Hopefully insurance takes care of it for you without hassle. I'm in Florida Panhandle so not too far from you, I'll keep an eye out down here for a replacement.
