Now this I understand, and live with on a regular basis, as In who gets the car when you can't drive it. My answer, not you!

Groovy cool. As for being called Sir and Mister, I know it's just being polite. If it's a young lady , calling me sir, I answer her ma'am. Some really give you a look.

well......my hair used to be dark brown.....only a few are that color anymore, know they are all white.....BUT....There is a way to look at it in a positive manner.

Its better that its turning white, than for it to be turning LOSE!!

Same here, and a golf buddy of mine uses that "busy street" theory all the time.

I live in the deep south and "sir" (or "ma'am") is usually involved when people talk to each other. Doesn't bother me a bit. It does throw me a little when younger folks call me "Mister Jim" though, but it's just out of respect for elders.

You know you're getting older when you have to explain to your 15 year old grand daughter what a rotary phone or a record player is (was).

I'm over 40 and use "sick" it's a car forum thing, I don't use it verbally, only on the forums.

I also don't speak SMS, if you want to convey an idea or opinion to me do it in American English with proper grammar, else I just scroll past it.

I refuse to read crap like this:

f U wnt 2 convey an idea o opinion 2 me do it n Amrcn eng w propR grammar, Ls I jst scroll past it.

http://transl8it.com/

my 19 year old Niece is great for that crap and wonders why I never reply to her texts..

My wife and I text several thousand a month because it's easier than calling when we are working, but we use full sentences and words.

or he thinks you were a punk kid in a modded car and apologizes for bothering you after you rolled down the window and he sees all the grey hair..

can we say "profiling" all together now.

no joke I got pulled over several times in my 300c (with kid in the car seat) and the officer took one look at me and apologized for bothering me..

A kid (teenager) recently said to me, "Dude, your Camaro is f'n filthy!"

I looked at him like he was crazy, because I'd just washed it.

Then I realized it was a compliment.
