Griffin Motorsports (SOCAL.M6.ZLE) Front crash bar installed!

I finally got around to installing my Griffin Motorsports Front crash bar. I had a bumper tank for my WeaponX Boost chiller. I relocated the tank with Dedicated Motorsports fender tank. I am really happy with how open the front center stack is now. I haven't had much time for testing yet, but I plan to turn the chiller off and go drive it around tomorrow. (To simulate track conditions) The chiller doesn't really do anything on track, so this should help a lot. So far my MAT's haven't gone above 125 degrees, even fully heat soaked. (Goes up at a light, but immediately drops back down once I start moving.)

I have plans to install mine this weekend weather permitting. Not looking forward to pulling that front fascia off again though.

My car has Voodoo, every time I touch it it goes Squirrley. I don’t know what it is because I am an accomplished millwright with electrical up to 600v, hydraulics, welding and mechanics. For some reason, this 12v Camaro scares the shit out of me anytime I do anything to it.

It's so many damn screws, I'm always afraid I'll lose a few or put them back in the wrong place. I've only had it off once though when I first got the car 3 1/2 years ago. I've got to swap the TCM with an unlocked TCM while I got it off.

I love the tank and it's easy to fill and makes purging air a breeze. The install was straight forward. I have not had a chance much to compare old temps to new temps temps yet. But, I know we were in the 90°'s not long ago and I was driving the car really hard and IAT2/MAT was right at 134° showing on my iBanks gauge. So far so good!

1. Thank you for bringing innovative products like this to the market!

2. Thanks! I have been slowly building my dream garage.

3. It was surprisingly easy to install, the hardest part was relocating my bumper tank to the fender. I think I have about 4-6 hours into the full install, including the tank relocation. Granted it is much easier with a lift.

It is a great product. I had some slight fitment issues with mine, but I installed one on my buddy's car with zero issues. I'm not sure what the difference was with mine, but the upper bolt didn't want to line up properly. Overall, I'd say it is a great product.

I went out and drove the car yesterday and well, it works. With my chiller turned off while doing some spirited back road twisties, my MAT2's never got above 130 degrees. (Most of the time in the 110-115 range) With the chiller turned on in race mode. I was crusing at 98 degrees and after several WOT pulls, it never got above 115 degrees. This is with the car fully heat soaked and 45 minutes of driving. This is in Texas too where it is already 90 degrees outside and 100% humidity.
