There were a couple of places that had them in stock but I've already ordered and I can wait for the money I saved. |

Where did you see them in stock? I think I will order one this week myself. My other vortex order does not look like it is coming in for another month or so. With 5% off can get one through opticsplanet for $474.05 with free shipping.
Some one posted a code for opticsplanet 10% off last month. Anyone got another? haha Thank you if you do. |

Kenziesoptics.com and Primaryarms.com had them. They are sold out now since the information was posted in the AR15.com thread.

I'm making a custom gun case for my AR. Anybody made their own foam cutouts? Got a recommendation of foam or brand. I'm looking at some of the pick n pluck stuff but I think it will look like crap after it's all said and done. Would welcome pics of pick n pluck that looks good. I'm willing to put in the time to do the cutting. Just don't want to get cheap crappy foam.

So I was looking for pictures I thought I put on my office computer of my cases with pick n pluck foam in plano cases. I could not find them but here is a link to 17 pages on ar15.com of cases and guns in foam.
https://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_19/2...d-.html&page=1 There is a spot that talks about using egg crate style foam so you do not have to cut anything out and can just use the cases universally. |

I really like my cases cut out for each specific system I run. I luckily fell into half a dozen Pelican case inserts that my old Guard Unit threw out for some reason. I think they used a few single and double gun cases to haul electronic gear.
I cut them out with a sharp, serrated knife to match my Volquartsen .22 rifle, with mags and room for my rangefinder, etc. Did another for most any AR. Another for my LWRC with room for it's suppressor and mounted scope. For guys who like that "organized" look...I can see the appeal. Unfortunately the foam from folks like Pelican IS expensive. There's also plans online to make a hot wire cutter. I used a sharp knife and it worked fine. |

Waiting for his picnic basket. NO idea WHERE it came from...it has always simply amused me. That big old bear....patiently waiting at a picnic table! LOL.
We get the occasional bear here on the property and our interactions have always been non dangerous. We enjoy watching them, especially the occasional grizzly we see, when we are up in Glacier NP or over at my Cousins place west of us. Wish I could have said he was a pet. But sadly...NO. BTW...Here's a hell of a Montana grizzly....Near Polebridge, MT. Makes those "What HANDGUN should I carry in grizzly country" threads seem a bit silly doesn't he? |

I have decided after what the Supreme Court ruled today, I will no longer spend my vacation dollar in California. If I can't carry in a state I have no need to go there. Now I know this isn't going to hurt anybody but it makes me feel good. It's like only buying MADE in THE USA products. "But" if every person with a Gun carry permit decided to never go into the states that don't allow them to Carry CCW that might make a statement JUST MY Opinion......I hope this statement doesn't break any rules

Track days at Laguna Seca Raceway or Sears Point would be the only reasons I can think of for going to CA, and I'd be faced with the difficulty in securing any firearm while actually at the track with the car emptied of everything not bolted down anyway.

Ditto for me! Although I do not think my views on life in general is openly welcomed there so we are even.
On a different note this is the lowest with optic AR I have ever seen new! Bushmaster XM-15 5.56 / 223, 16" Barrel, Red Dot Optic, 30rd Mag $399 - after $75 Rebate! http://mailchi.mp/tooeleshootingsupp...g?e=b8695ca209 |
