The more I think about that statement
the more it fits. Great analogy. For me, it really rings true, as because of all my disabilities, my wife convinced me that a muscle car would take the place of another dream, a low rider Harley.

I came really close to getting an SRT8 Challenger...but knowing about the Camaro coming out, I wanted to wait and see to compare the two. For me...hands down it was the Camaro.
I recently drove an 08 GT500 to get a feel for the kind of HP/TQ that the SS was going to put down. That was a great car as well. If the Camaro wasn't coming out...I'd probably opt for this one. So goes it: SS, GT500, SRT8 Challenger

Congrats nice car. Looks good. It actuallly looks like the one MC Hammer has in his reality show Hammertime. But Im glad you love your car. I think they are awesome cars to. But I also love my Camaro. I was suprised with the size difference in the 2 cars. Challenger is actually bigger thought id post pics of my Camaro next to one to show size difference but both sweet rides!

Challenger is bigger
More room in the interior and the trunk is quite large. Down side: It's about 400 lbs heavier. Would have liked to see the stock SRT at about 475-500 hp and the stock RT around 425 hp because of that. Nevertheless, I can still smoke the tires for a good 2 seconds before it starts fishtailing and moving forward, just going from the brake to WOT, but I've also made some mods to the car. I know, a stock SS can do the same thing, maybe more, not trying to open a performance war. Thanks for the pics BTW, and yes, they are both awesome rides.

Interesting discussion, much more civil than what happens on the Challenger forums when someone praises a Camaro! Proof that Camaro owners are a class act!

IF it wasn't for the wife getting a challenger before me I would be driving one now. I love the old style look of the challenger but am also happy with my camaro. In the local area I can talk cars with the challenger people but it seems the tang people have some chip on their shoulders so me and the challenger people hang out.
