Katech says the stock stuff with main studs, rod bolts, and good bearings will handle 1000 easily. I'd upgrade the thrust bearing, too.

In my case, it's just water. Even if I just spray the car down with the pressure washer, it will do it. (I had the exact same thought and tested it.) Maybe it has to do with hard or soft water?

If you're just driving it on the street, change the tires to Michelin or Conti's. Will be MUCH better for street temps. Good street tires + stabilitrak and traction control = hard to lose it.

Agree 100% with this mod. The DI2650's come with a replacement hose to do exactly this. My next mod is to do what laynlo15 did, and upsize the lines to the valve covers.
